Beach Beauty Essentials

Hello lovelies!

Hitting the beach or planning a day outdoors this weekend? Here's how I prepare for fun in the sun ;)

Most important is SPF!

Since you're gonna be out in the sun you don't want to pile on makeup. Opt for a BB cream with SPF instead, like this Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream (it will also keep you shine free for longer!). You can also use a primer under just to keep things from melting away. I'm currently using The Body Shop's Vitamin C Boost. This way your BB will look flawless, last longer, you get the nice refreshing citrus smell all while treating your skin furthermore! :)

Also make sure to protect the rest of your body! I love the Hawaiian Tropics Sheer Touch Ultra-Radiance  Lotion because it smells amazing and  gives you a nice glow ;)!

If you still want to wear makeup, grab a waterproof mascara. Or, if you'd rather not deal with that (we all know it can be a bitch to take off, THAT'S RIGHT I used a big word!), you can pick your favorite mascara and top it off with this Waterproofing Mascara Topcoat from Marcelle
If you need a bit more coverage, choose a long lasting concealer, like Kat Von D's Lock-It Tattoo Concealer, a little goes a long way, so you won't look cakey and you don't need to worry about it sliding off.

If you still want some color on your lips, go for a long lasting product that stains a little, my go to is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Color Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm in 610 Sun-Kissed (Wooo giirrl, that was a mouth full, you still with us?? Shake it off, we're almost done!). You could also top it off with a lip balm that has SPF for extra protection, like this one from Nivea

You can complete your look by adding a liquid cheek tint (lasts longer and looks more natural), you know my favorite ones are the Rimmel Stay Blushed!. Then, add a little bronzer to fake being sun kissed (until it naturally happens!). With a big bronzer brush use the Annabelle Biggy Bronzer in a "3" motion along the sides of your face and dust a little on the nose and anywhere the sun would naturally hit.

To stay refreshed throughout the day, make you bring a mist of some sort, and just spray to keep cool. I LOVE the Avène Thermal Spring Water !
Then all you need is good company, good reads, good music, water and snacks :)

Stay safe and have fun!

Talk to you soon,

  1. would you recommend a specific sunscreen for the face?
I know they make tinted sunscreens now, but I'm afraid. I'm very afraid.

    1. I haven't found one I liked...They make me break out, Hence the BB cream, just as much protection :)
