Another month over, another million products tried... Here are some items that stood out as of late, brace yourselves!

Skincare:

Soap&Glory Face Soap and Clarity Vitamin C Facial Wash ($25)This is a wonderful cleanser. I use it every morning. It makes my skin feel fresh, squeaky clean, keeps it clear and wakes me up! The scent is not for everyone but I find it rather invigorating.  Made with Yuzu, it's packed with vitamin C and it really purifies and brightens up your complexion. It says it's non drying, but I would recommend using a good moisturizer and RIGHT AFTER you cleanse, cause I actually find it can be a tad drying. Also, beyond the fact that it's a star performer, you get 500ml for $25!! Most cleanser are around 100ml, so if you do the math, even by drugstore standards, this is a real steal!

Makeup:

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Palette ($49/59$C) - After I've confessed my love affair with this palette (and no, not in a sexual way, though I do want to eat it? THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING it just smells good okay??) in my review which you can read HERE, it should come to no surprise that this has been my go to palette for nights out this month.

L'Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in Medium to Dark ($7-9*) - You already know I highly prefer it than the Maybelline brow gel (you can read my comparison review HERE) but honestly this month, I haven't skipped this step at all. I usually either do my brows or don't...They're not bad "au natural" it's just if I'm gonna do them, I figure I should go all in. This is a nice in between, because it tames them down and gives them a bit more "umph" and stays all day. Of course, it looks even better when I fill them in a bit before, but overall, it's a must in my brow routine.

Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette ($46/55$C) - I haven't done an in depth review for this yet, simply because it's really hard to showcase the results. Probably my lack of skills and poor photography equipment but I do what I can! Bottom line, this is a fantastic palette, and it says a lot coming from a pasty lady like myself. Contouring can be tricky, but this makes it easy. There's nothing too muddy or too orange about it, just creates natural looking definition. I stay in the lightest shades, so safe to say this can appeal to a variety of skin tones. Though I mainly only use 3 shades out of the 6 that come in the palette, I still find it to be a good investment. Plus, all these powders could double as shadows so I'll probably be able to use all of them in some way at some point!

Tools:

Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush 504 ($16) - I actually received this in my February Ipsy bag which is pretty neat because it's only $10 (less than the cost of the brush) for the bag and there were other goodies. Now I've like a lot of the things I've received (I hated a lot too) but this is the first time I've been really excited about an item received. I use it to apply my blush and it's a bit more dense than other brushes I usually use. Combined with the shape, it really makes the most out of the product and always gives a flawless and natural look. Plus I think it's a cute looking brush! :)

Nails:

OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener (got a mini bottle for $4 on eBay) - I haven't really painted my nails much this month. Quite frankly, my nails are shit. I've just been focusing on getting them healthy and strong, and this is just the right product for that. I've tried other cheaper alternatives and nothing compares. If you want your nails to stop from breaking, fraying, whatevering. INVEST. Or you know be a deal whore like me and get it a "sampler" on eBay ha!

My nails actually grew sooo long but all I have is this crappy picture I took with my phone cause I cut them right after...If you've read my "OCD to clear acne" post, you know why!!

Body:

Soap&Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub** ($25) - It says on the packaging "great maple scent", honestly it is sweet, but maybe more like brown sugar? If you don't like sweet scents you will not like this, however I don't find it to be overwhelming or overpowering. It doesn't linger too much either to the point of clashing with your body lotions/perfumes. It does a fantastic job at exfoliating your skin, leaving it smooth and slightly moisturized. I find it to be a real treat! It's especially great to use before shaving.

Soap&Glory Hand Food Hand Cream** ($7-15US) - Seems I'm on a bit of a Soap&Glory kick! Didn't even realized until I picked my favorites. Having 2 dogs and being a tad OCD I wash my hands A LOT (probably too much). Bottom line, it destroys my hands. I needed a really rich hand cream that absorbed quickly with no greasy feeling left behind and that doesn't just sit on the skin. Enter this baby! Bonus : It smells aaaaammaazing! Sorta like the Miss Dior perfume, if you're familiar.

** I buy Soap&Glory from Sephora.com, I don't think you can get it through Sephora in Canada. I do believe you can find their products in a lot of the Pharmaprix/Shoppers Drug Mart locations, that's where I first discovered the brand anyways!

Nivea In-Shower Nourishing Body Lotion ($7-9*) - Hello? Why hadn't this been invented before?? This actually sounds like the most boring product in the bunch, but it has been the most life changing haha! Honestly, I am the worst when it comes to moisturizing after I shower. It's long, it sticks to my clothes and quite frankly I'm just lazy. But the truth is, I know I have to do it so I don't look like aged leather by the time I'm 45. This lotion you can use IN the shower. That's right, wash your body and rinse, apply this right after and rinse. THAT'S IT! No waiting time, no stickiness, just clean, super hydrated skin. You're welcome. It actually comes in 3 different formulas, this one is with almond oil for very dry skin!
