This little sampler is a great way to introduce you to the wonderful world of Peter Thomas Roth. I love when I start trying to explain my love for things and then it's right there in the name! I see what you did there! The Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic Kit is, well yes, magic.

Let's talk about the value here ; for $20USD/25$CA you get 3 x 0.5Oz masks (which seems little but each one of them is good for a few applications, I haven't even ran out of any yet, and I already have a backup!). So it's almost a risk free trial, I can't imagine you hating all 3, but if you do, my bad! If like I predict, you do like what you get, you can keep getting the trio (they used to have a bigger sized trio too, but it seems that's no longer a thing) or pick your favorite and get whole big ass tub of it!

Right off the bat I'm gonna suggest you leave the cucumber and rose one in the fridge.

I'm gonna start with the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (full size $58USD/67$CA). HOLY TOLEDO PRAISE THE LORD! You know a basic bitch like myself is going to be all over that pumpkin pie smell. No, like I literally want to lick it off my face each freakin' time (*Do not apply while hungry. The struggle will be real.). I know this might not be a huge selling point unless you want to spend too much money on a really gross snack but beyond the scent, this is a wonderful mask! What it's meant to do is exfoliate the skin to really smooth and brighten it. And that's exactly what it does! Because *insert fancy official explanation* : "[it] exfoliates with pumpkin enzyme, peels with alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), and polishes with aluminum oxide" (source : Sephora). I love how my skin always looks instantly brighter after using this. Beyond giving you that initial glow, overtime it really helps to even things out. My skin has been pretty clear for while now (besides the occasional breakout) but I do struggle with a lot of acne scaring (mainly discoloration but some indentation as well) and this is a really good tool to help fight that.

The Cucumber Gel Mask (full size $45USD/52$CA) is one that really surprised me. I've never tried a gel formula that's meant to detoxify the skin. It's a strange concept, but it's sorta perfect when you think about it. When you break out, your skin is irritated, you might be drying it out with products trying to fight those bastards. Pop this baby out of the fridge and apply to instantly soothe the skin and calm down some of the inflammation and redness and also help win the fight. It's not like a deep purging mask but depending what kind of breakout you're dealing with this can be a strong asset in your routine. You can even use this mask under your eyes for some de-puffing action! A solid mask.

The Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask (full size $45USD/52$CA) I'm a little less excited about. Simply because it's not really targeted for my needs. I have no doubt that this an amazing mask for more mature skin but for me it's just a nice refreshing mask. I like to use it before I go out (washed my face in the morning and want to refresh before doing my makeup for the night). Really helps smooth things out and helps to retain moisture. I can't vouch for it's effect on fine lines, wrinkles, dullness and sagging, but I'd assume it helps out some!

Honeslty I think I'm just going to be getting the small trio continuously because I really can't choose between the Cucumber and Pumpkin one and let's face it, I have a million masks and love to keep trying new things, so sometimes the smaller the better! Have you tried them? Which one is your favorite?

Talk to you soon,
