Brand Showcase | Chelsea Dawn Lipsticks

Monday, May 18, 2015

I know I know, I've been a bit MIA, and might be in the near future too, but I got important stuff to deal with! Like top secret government stuff, only not really, but kinda.

ANYWAYS! Exciting things today :

A) This marks my 100th post! Woohoo!! Thank you so much for your support, I never thought I'd get past 10, so I feel very blessed and motivated thanks to you dear readers!

B) Today's featured brand is right from my hometown of Montreal! Represent!

I have had the chance to meet the lovely Chelsea as we both worked in the same mall  way back in the day. She went on to become a talented makeup artist and hairstylist and I went on to...Well I'm doing my own thing haha

Point is, when I heard she was coming out with her own line of lipsticks, I was super stoked. The Chelsea Dawn collection is composed of 8 lipsticks so far, with a mix of finishes. They are cruelty free, paraben free and hypo-allergenic and retail for 20$ each.

Part of me wanted to get all of them, but since they are a bit pricey (and yes, I bought these with my own money) but I really wanted to encourage her, I picked my top 2 based on her swatches.

I got me Seduce (satin/matte finish) and Dolce (glossy finish).

First of all, they smell delicious. Like your typical sweet vanilla-y type lipsticks. Second of all, the quality is seriously impressive. The packaging, the formula, the wear, it's all good.

Because Seduce is a satin/matte, the lasting power surpasses Dolce (it withheld a wine and greasy pasta filled dinner), but for a glossy type lipstick it still lasts a pretty long time.

There's not a whole lot more to say about these. I mean, they compare to your high end brands, so the price tag makes sense, though I know for an unknown brand some of you might be iffy, but! You're also supporting a local (well for some of you) artist, which is pretty cool! Because she is a reputable makeup artist, you know she wouldn't put her name on a crap product, you know what I mean? That ain't good for business girl!

That being said, these do ship to Canada and the US (standard shipping 5$) and you can place your order directly to her via her e-mail :

Also make sure to check her out on:

Talk to you soon!
