Purple Haze | Best Purple Lipsticks

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

If there's one trend I thought I'd never get on board with (possibly even more than the nude lip), it's the purple lip.

As a fair skinned girl, both colors mentioned above can be what your nightmares are made of. Ironically, these are both now some of my favorites lips to rock! Insanity.

I wanted to share with you my favorite purple lipsticks as they have been my go to lately!

They look intimidating in the tube, which is probably why I never gravitated towards them, but once swatched, they become  way less scary. If you can handle a fuchsia type "bold" lip, I strongly recommend you try purple. It's a subtle, yet fun twist on more familiar colors.

Colourpop X CoffeeBreakWithDani | Metamorphosis Quad Review and Demo

Friday, June 19, 2015

CoffeeBreakWithDani, a popular YouTuber, just launched a collaboration with Colourpop Cosmetics. The quad is called Metamorphosis (Be The Change) and it is nothing short of breathtaking.

We already know my obsession with Colourpop is unhealthy, but this is not the first collaboration they've launched with an internet star, but it's the first one I could not resist. And it's not that I am obsessed with Dani, I mean she's great, check her out, but I'm not a crazy fan girl or anything. The colors just drew me in and I ordered it the minute I saw it. Probably my most intense "impulse" purchase haha

If you know me, you know I try a million things and I always seem to have new favorites. But somehow in the vast sea of endless beauty options, there a few gems that really stand out. Yes, even though I'm always on the hunt, there are certain products that just can't be beaten and I always go back for more. So here are my 6 ultimate HG (Holy Grail) products I just can't get enough of!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - As mentioned in my "about me", my beauty weapon of choice is mascara. Although there are wonderful affordable ones, something about this mascara is unbeatable and I always alternate between drugstore favorites and this. I almost never wear falsies but I love bold lashes, and this mascara gives me the most dramatic effect.

May 2015 Favorites

Monday, June 1, 2015

Hello June! Officially embarking on the second half of the year, man time flies! May was an excellent month beauty wise, so let me share some of my greatest hits with you! There might be a few familiar faces, but I've just been really consistent this month! Yay!

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado - If you remember in my latest skin care routine posts, I had been using the Lancome Genefique eye cream and I was just eh about it...And my eczema was flaring up around my eyes again so I needed something really moisturizing and gentle. This sh*t is bananas! For someone in their mid to late 20's it does everything it needs to : hydrates, depuffs, smooths. LOVE it! Oh and make sure you warm it up between your fingers before you pat it on so it's the perfect consistency. I remember getting a sample ages ago, and didn't do that and I pretty much hated it haha Oopsie, my bad!

L'Oréal EverPure Blonde Conditioner - I somewhat recently got my cliche Cali girl hair (ombré/balayage) and had run out of conditioner, so I decided to test this out see if it would get rid of a bit of brassiness I was getting. It absolutely did, and after one use nonetheless! I think I will get the shampoo too when I run out of my current one. It does have that lavender tint to it so if you're looking for that kind of "toning" shampoo/conditioner check it out! Oh and it smells sooo refreshing like all their EverPure products (rosemary/mint).
