May 2015 Favorites

Hello June! Officially embarking on the second half of the year, man time flies! May was an excellent month beauty wise, so let me share some of my greatest hits with you! There might be a few familiar faces, but I've just been really consistent this month! Yay!

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado - If you remember in my latest skin care routine posts, I had been using the Lancome Genefique eye cream and I was just eh about it...And my eczema was flaring up around my eyes again so I needed something really moisturizing and gentle. This sh*t is bananas! For someone in their mid to late 20's it does everything it needs to : hydrates, depuffs, smooths. LOVE it! Oh and make sure you warm it up between your fingers before you pat it on so it's the perfect consistency. I remember getting a sample ages ago, and didn't do that and I pretty much hated it haha Oopsie, my bad!

L'Oréal EverPure Blonde Conditioner - I somewhat recently got my cliche Cali girl hair (ombré/balayage) and had run out of conditioner, so I decided to test this out see if it would get rid of a bit of brassiness I was getting. It absolutely did, and after one use nonetheless! I think I will get the shampoo too when I run out of my current one. It does have that lavender tint to it so if you're looking for that kind of "toning" shampoo/conditioner check it out! Oh and it smells sooo refreshing like all their EverPure products (rosemary/mint).

Wet n Wild Mega Last Nail Color in On a Trip - If you follow me on Instagram, you already know I'm in love with this! Not only do I love the color, but I was immensely impressed with the brush and formula! The brush is one of those thicker flat kinds, but it's also curved at the top to fit your nail perfectly. I am literally the worst at painting my nails (you'd think I would have mastered it by now) and tend to get more polish on my skin than my nails but with this it goes on clean and even! Oh and it lasted 4 days with no top coat, and it's like $2. Let's pause and breathe. Yes all your nail dreams have come true. I can't wait to get more colors!

Colourpop Blush in Mochi-  As you know the brand in general is a favorite this month, but I do have a few "star" products. Did I only get this blush because it's name of my dog? Yes absolutely. But it also turned out to be the most beautiful pink and you already know how I feel about the formula...You can read more in my overview post HERE .

Colourpop Highlighter in Monster - This is the highlighter that made me fall in love with highlighters. Just gives me a beautiful glow! It looks like this boring white in the pan but it's a actually this gorgeous light pink with highly opalescent duo chrome finish, it's almost like a lavender color, just lovely!

Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumière - This shade is just the perfect "anything goes, nude but not nude" color. Kinda how I feel about my trusty Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice. But you know, I gotta switch it up a bit!

Maybelline Matte + Poreless Foundation - If I'm wearing makeup, I'm wearing this. This has never happened. I usually like different foundations/BB creams for different things (depending what I'm doing that day) but this is a no-brainer. Always flawless, always natural and lasts all day! You can see before/after pictures and a more in depth review HERE.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Brightener - This concealer has been a long time favorite, because I love the texture and how smooth it makes my under eye area. I usually just use the lightest shade but I wanted something to really brighten up the area, and as a fair skinned girl "going lighter" isn't always really an option. This shade has this bright pink undertone and is just perfect! I still use my Benefit Erase Paste under to correct any blue hued dark circles and then top with this in a larger upside down triangle and BOOM! #IWokeUpLikeThis (or almost).

I'd mention a million other things, like the Chelsea Dawn Lipsticks and the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, but I'm trying to keep it to a minimum, so these have really been the "Stand Out" products of May!

What have been some of your go to products this month? Let me know in the comments below!

Talk to you soon,
