Product Review | Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

I've raved many a time about Maybelline mascaras. I've always been a fan, and beyond the classic pink tube of "Great Lash", I've never really been disappointed. Right now, the Lash Sensational is still in my top favorite mascaras, high end included.

To no surprise, when I saw the latest release, The Falsies Push Up Drama, I was excited to try it out.

I don't think it's in any shape or form similar to the original Falsies Mascara? (which I love) but, it has pretty packaging and an interesting brush. The hopes were high.

Of course they use fancy marketing sentences and claim pioneering technology ; "push the limits with the first ever cup-shaped bristles that lift your lashes to dramatic heights". And I ate it right up man! Usually, all it needs to translate to is ; bigger bolder lashes. Which as far as I understood, such results were to be expected.

Let me get straight to the point and say this mascara don't push nothing but clumps. There, I said it. I NO LIKEY. I, Valerie Spielberg, do not like a Maybelline Mascara. It pains me to say this. I would say hate, but that's a bit dramatic.

I mean if you like clumpy lashes, you do you boo, but this is even worse than the ones marketed as giving you "spidery" lashes like it's a good thing.

Long story short ; only volume it gives is heavy clumping, doesn't give much length, weighs down the lashes...But! It doesn't flake off, minimal smudging and removal is quick and easy...So yay?

Because of the way the brush is made, you can't really wipe off any excess like you normally do (wiping it off on the edge of the tube) as it lodges itself between the tiny rigid bristles making sure to coat all your lashes (i.e. clumps). Also the formula is dryer than most of my favorites from the brand...So maybe that has something to do with it? Though I feel a wetter formula with this brush would be even more chaotic. I DON'T KNOW! Just here, look at the before & after and take what you want from it haha

Bottom line ; I do not recommend this mascara. You wanna do cray cray spiders on your peepers? Go for the Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Lash one or the L'Oreal Volumimous Miss Manga Rock Mascara (both reviewed here) or if you want big bold beautiful lashes my top 3 from the drugstore goes as follows ;  Maybelline Lash Sensational, Rimmel Lift Me UpCovergirl The Supersizer

Hope this helps!

Talk to you soon,
-Xoxo, Val
