September 2015 Favorites

Hello October! We are finally in fall prime time, which for me means (somewhat) cooler weather, the best fashion, and the best dramatic lips! Here are some of my favorites since this past month;

Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Palais Royal - I owned forever ago, and it was this incredible, deep sangria, vampy shade that somehow suited everyone. It was real love. Then my dog ate it and pooped purple for days. I was devasted and needed to grieve. When I felt that cool breeze hit the air, and the smell of pumpkin spice everything, I knew it was time to give love a chance and re-order this bad boy. An all time favorite.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Tulle -  I know I mentioned this last month as well but I just can't get enough! This dusty mauve burgundy is the perfect "90s shade" for fall. I've been loving it especially for times when I don't really feel like going all out with the makeup. This lip and some mascara ; my face looks alive, made up and polished and I am good to go! I do feel it would be even better with some winged liner...but you know...Ain't nobody got time for that. OK! I'm lazy...I'll TRY to make time for it. E.L.F. Studio Lip Exfoliator - Since I've been wearing way more lipstick, I've been giving my lips a little more TLC. I've been loving this exfoliator to keep my lips extra smooth. I've never seen a lip scrub in the convenience of a tube before! I was skeptical but it definitely works and it's cheap as hell and taste delicious. A MAJOR winner.

 Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask - I had a nasty (and oh so random) breakout this past month and this has been a life saver! If you get these big under the skin, never ending zit, I recommend giving this a try. I only use it as a 5 minute mask on nights where I'm too lazy to do a full facial, but still want to help out my skin. Quick side note though, I believe in Canada it is made with Salicylic Acid as opposed to Benzoyl Peroxide, which is why it never worked for me before so I apologize to my Candadian Beauties who respond better to BP as well...

Real Techniques Setting Brush - I can't believe I've never mentioned this brush before! This has been a favorite for quite a while now, and the one brush I can't replace. I can use different brushes for blush, powder, foundation what have you but this is the best brush to use with highlighters. In case you didn't know, I'm quite obsessed with highlighting as of late (yes you can glow beautifully even if you have oily skin) and this brush is LIFE!

I've got a few other favorites but they all deserve their own post, so stay tuned!

Talk to you soon,
-Xoxo, Val
