Product Review | Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor

Hey guys! It's been a minute...

We packed up and moved to a new place, so things are a bit all over the place right now. But, we are settled in nicely all things considered. I had made sure to keep a few things accessible so they wouldn't get lost in boxes, because I wanted to get back on track ASAP!

First on the list the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor. These have been out for a little while, but it's still kind of hard to find a whole display, meaning ; if you want more than one shade, it could take some time to collect them all. I hit the jackpot at my local Target.

This collection offers 8 different shades, but as far as I was concerned only 3 of them are wearable and/or not the exact same hue as a million other products I already own. Then again, color preference is a very personal thing, so you do you boo!

I don't know if my smile progression in the lip swatches were meant to be an indiction on my preference for each shade but it's actually pretty accurate haha

The nude (Seduction) is really universally flattering, I believe, and it's great to have in your collection. Devotion is the one I was the most excited about because it's really the perfect shade of rose I had been looking for, and shockingly I don't have anything quite like this, so I'm pretty stoked about that! Lastly, if you know me at all, I am a sucker for a bolder lip, the heart wants what it wants and Addiction is my favorite! Such a fun color. I also feel, if you're afraid of the darker lip trend, this is a great place to start! It really packs a punch for Fall/Winter but it's not overwhelming or too vampy. I would really recommend picking up all three of them.

Now for the specifics ; they are suuuuper creamy! They have great pigmentation, apply really beautifully and feel comfortable on the lips. From that perspective, they are on par with the Maybelline Creamy Mattes and the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams (I have full reviews on both of these, you can just click over!). The best advantages the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor have over these is that they have a greatly designed applicator ; it kinda has that hourglass shape that helps get a precise application and an even distribution of product, so you don't get build up on the middle of the lips. It's really fool proof.

Another great thing is that they smell/taste super good, it's not your usually vanilla/cupcake lip product scent, more like buttery jolly ranchers? lol Okay that sounds gross, but if you've never put gummy candies in your popcorn, you're missing out, and it sorta tastes like that. ANYWAYS, that's not an important fact. What IS important is the lasting power. I was surprised because it's definitely not transfer resistant (it doesn't dry down like a liquid lipstick so it's not that surprising) BUT I was impressed with the fact that whatever did manage to stay on, really stayed on for several hours. So that's always a good thing!

Bottom line, I think these are really great and I've been reaching for these a ton this past month (monthly favorite spoilers) and I would really recommend them. Well maybe only these shades...Like I said, in my opinion, the only down side is the color selection, I wasn't overly thrilled, but you might be!

Check them out, and let me know if you fell in love with any of their other shades!

Talk to you soon!
-Xoxo, Val
